  • Do you carry self-published authors?

    No! We do not carry self-published authors on a consignment basis.

  • How do I get my book in your bookstore?

    We do not carry self-published authors on a consignment basis. We only carry books published by national publishing houses. If your book is on Ingram Spark, we will give it consideration.

  • How do I have a book signing at your bookstore?

    Four (4) times a year we host book festivals. For such, we select up to 10 authors to host a book signing of their book at the festival. We do not ask for a percent of sales, you keep 100% of your sales. All authors require a signed participation agreement from Baldwin & Co. management to participate. Please email info@baldwinandcobooks.com if you would like to enter your book as a candidate for the book festival.

  • Can I host a private event at Baldwin & Co.?

    Yes, Private event rates start at $750 per hour—minimum 4-hour booking. Rates vary depending on the day and hour of requested event. Please email bpowell@baldwinandcobooks.com for booking.

  • Can I host an event open to the public at Baldwin & Co.?

    Yes, open-to-public event rates start at $500 per hour—no minimum hours. Rates may increase depending on the day and hour of requested event. Please email bpowell@baldwinandcobooks.com for booking.

  • Can I reserve seats or space during business hours?

    Yes, to reserve seats or space during business hours is a fee of $15 per person/seat per hour is charged. This is a reservation fee only and does not include food or drinks. Furniture cannot be rearranged, props cannot be brought in, and noise level must be kept to a minimum level. If you require accommodations of the above, please inquire about our Open to Public event rates or Private Event rates.

    In advance, a Reservation Agreement must be signed and pre-approved between client and Baldwin & Co. management. Please email bpowell@baldwinandcobooks.com for reservation agreements. Payment must be made prior to start of reservation. If payment is not made in advance, reservation will not be honored.

  • Do you allow photography/filming?

    Any professional photography rates begin at $300 per hour. Rates may increase pending day of the week and hour of the day. For booking please email bpowell@baldwinandcobooks.com.

  • Can I move furniture around to accommodate my group without a paid reservation?

    No, we do not allow customers to rearrange furniture to accommodate their groups without a pre-paid reservation for those seats or space. If you move furniture, please be so kind to move it back.

  • Do you allow dogs/pets inside?

    Only service animals with proof shown are allowed to park indoors. Under the ADA and Louisiana law, owners of public accommodations are not required to allow emotional support animals, only service animals. The ADA laws don't apply to pets. In consideration of customers with allergies, we do not allow emotional support animals to park indoors. All pets and/or emotional support animals can only pass thru and must park in outdoor courtyard. All dogs must be on a leash and in owner’s possession at all times. Dogs are welcomed in our outdoor courtyard; in consideration of our customers we do not allow dogs or pets to park indoors.

  • How much for a podcast studio rental?

    The podcast studio rental is $49/hour.

  • Do you offer bulk discounts on book orders?

    Yes! We can offer discounts on bulk book orders. Please email info@baldwinandcobooks.com for bulk order discounts inquiries.

  • Can I order books from the website?

    Yes! We currently partner with Bookshop.org for all online purchases. Click the SHOP menu button on our website to order online. It’s fast and easy and we ship directly to your doorstep.

  • If I don’t see the book I'm looking for in-store, can I request it ordered to pick-up in the store?

    Yes, if we do not have your book of choice in the store, we are happy to order any book for you to pick up in the store. There is an online form (on the SHOP drop down menu) on our website where you can enter your book request and submit for pickup. The book will arrive in-store within 2 to 7 days and a book rep will contact you for pickup. We will hold the book on reserve for you for a max of 14 days.

  • How long does it take for a book ordered in the store for in-store pickup to arrive?

    Due to COVID, shipping times are a little delayed. The average shipping time for in-store pickup is 3 to 5 business days.

  • How long does it take for a book ordered online shipped directly to home to arrive?

    Due to COVID, shipping times are a little delayed. The average shipping time for home delivery is 5 to 7 business days.

  • Do you allow outside food and drink?

    Outside food and drink are only allowed to be consumed in the outdoor courtyard area.

  • Do you allow solicitation?

    We do not allow any solicitation of any form.

  • Do you take google pay/apple pay?

    Yes, we accept google pay/apple pay (in-store only).

  • Do you allow emotional support animals inside Baldwin & Co.
